The Hamptons have always been known as One of the Worlds most popular Tourist Attractions and Summer Vacation Spots. Known as a Shoppers Paradise rich with Glamour and History it provides the Perfect backdrop for small to mid size businesses to express their unique character. These shops and stores were mainly established as summer businesses because the summer season is what attracted the tourists from NYC and across the World. From Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend the Hamptons were the place to be for the summer. When the summer season ended the Hamptons became quite and localized which forced businesses to basically hibernate and/or shut down for the winter months.

A change has occurred and what was a sparcely populated and secluded community has been growing rapidly as more and more people make their summer homes into year round homes. With the improvements in transportation and highway expansion the Hamptons have become much more accessable during the off season. The biggest reason people are moving east has to do with the arrival of the Internet which has networked and connected people to the big cities and their work places. People can now run their business from their homes or hampton storefront without having to commute to the city everyday.
